It’s time to mix, bubble and test
To see what experiment will work the best! Wednesday, February 19th, 2020, 5:30-7:00pm Carpenter Elementary Cafeteria/Gym What is the Science Expo? The Science Expo is an annual event where we encourage our Chameleons of all grade levels (kindergarten-fifth grade) to practice scientific thinking and problem-solving and improvise when a procedure doesn’t work out as predicted. Students submit a project idea in the registration process outlined below, conduct the experiment, and create a display to share their findings. This gives students a chance to apply the science skills they are learning in school while further investigating an area of interest to them. Who Can Participate? Any student from kindergarten through fifth grade at Carpenter can register. What are the Guidelines for a Project? While there is a great deal of flexibility in the projects, there are some guidelines we ask the projects to follow:
What is the Expo Schedule? The Expo will be held on February 19th, 2020 from 6-7pm in the cafeteria/gym at Carpenter Elementary School. The schedule for the event is below.
How Does my Child Register? A student can register in one of two ways (see below); the deadline to register is Friday, February 14, 2020.
